The Japanese word “Reiki” (pronounced “ray-kee”) means “Spiritual Energy” or “Universal Life-force Energy” and was rediscovered in the 1920s by a Japanese Buddhist priest known as Dr Mikao Usui.
Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive hands-on healing technique using spiritual energy channelled through a Reiki practitioner into a client during a Reiki treatment. However, it is much more than a physical therapy. It is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonising all aspects of our being – body, mind, emotions and spirit – promoting a sense of wholeness and well-being for both the client and the practitioner.
During a treatment the energy will flow wherever it is needed and can significantly aid the body’s innate healing abilities. Receiving a treatment is normally a deeply relaxing experience, balancing and harmonising both body and mind, and giving comfort and peace.
Just for today I will not anger
Just for today I will not worry
Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings
Just for today I will do my work honestly
Just for today I will show love and respect for every living being.
